Description
This artwork is an original by Lauren Danger made in July 2021. It is the 18th of the “Heading Home” series, a part of the second release of the series.
Heading Home is a series created as a follow up to the Home series. I looked to explore colour with this landscape. True to my style, the colours and layout vary differently as I evolve over the creation time in this series. Resulting in every artwork having its own unique interpretation of the colour palette and the composition.
The scene you see is an abstract view looking north from one of the highest points in The Otways. In between Ferguson and Beech Forest. A gentle folding of hills and forest leading to flatter plains in the far background. A sight to see if you’ve never visited Beech Forest, close to the popular Otway Tree Top walk. For those who don’t know me this is where I grew up and it brings me so much joy bringing these sights to life in abstraction and colour.
Heading Home has a calming feel with a variety of greens and blues, highlighted with purples, soft dusty pinks, peach and chocolate/caramel tones. The second release has more additions of transparent layers to create interest of a variety of green tones.
This artwork has been created on a custom made stretched canvas ready to hang and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. This artwork has been framed in a float frame made of raw oak. You can find out all about the details of my originals here.
