2 Apostles no. 10 is one of 2 original artwork in my revisit to this seascape series. It has a noticeable difference to my other seascapes, taking on a sunset colour palette. No. 10 is a repeat of the perspective of no. 6 painted 2 years earlier in the first release. I had done a commission for someone who was a fan of the Heading Home abstract series but wanted the realistic approach to a landscape she identified with. The 12 Apostles are one of the most famous landmarks along the Great Ocean Road and the collector loved the idea of recreating the 12 Apostles in Heading Home colours. This later became no. 8. I loved the idea so much, sunsets over the ocean have always captivated me with their colours. In my return to the series I really wanted to achieve 2 things, make another sunset and make a larger artwork featuring the main sea stack in no. 6. It never quite got covered in the first release other than in a smaller artwork.
