Description
Teddys Lookout no. 1 – Original Artwork by Lauren Danger. Created in July 2022. It is the 1st of the “Teddys Lookout” series.
Teddys Lookout No. 1 and the rest of the series is inspired by this popular lookout high above Lorne and the St. George River in Gadubanud Country. It’s a must see as you travel along the Great Ocean Road.
This series involved a lot of colour exploration and from that, there is slight differences in each original in this series. Something that came from altering my colour palette in previous series was the addition of lilac/purple and No. 1 really highlights this. Right from the start I felt that I wanted to use a lot more cooler blues/greens. Being surrounded by dense rainforest, I felt all the artworks have this in mind.
The view for Teddys Lookout no. 1 comes from the images that my partner Tim Dare had taken with our drone. You can see the original photo in the gallery. Hovering above the St/ George River, you see the Great Ocean Road weaving toward you on the left and in the mid foreground you see it wrap back around the cliff face to the right.
Teddy’s Lookout no. 1 has a mix of teal, cobalt blue, aqua blue, lilac, sand, magenta, coral pink, dusty pink, pale orange, deep purple, yellow/green, green/gold, burnt umber and olive green.
This artwork has been created on a custom made stretched canvas ready to hang and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. This artwork has been framed in a float frame made of raw oak. You can find out all about the details of my originals here.
