Description
Point Addis no. 8 | Framed original artwork by Lauren Danger – This artwork is an original by Lauren Danger made in July 2021. It’s the 8th of the “Point Addis” series.
Following no. 1 painted earlier in 2021 I knew I had to return to the Point Addis area to explore these fragile cliff faces. From perspectives in Wathaurong Country, above Point Addis Beach and some from Southside Beach I’ve used some images from my own visits as well as photos from Josh Beames Photography to create 7 new originals.
As always my process is a balance between the real and the world I see. The imagery captured is used as a base yet I allow myself to step away and move with colour and form that comes intuitively to me. It’s an absolute joy for me to create in this way and I hope you enjoy it too.
The Point Addis series shows an array of colours from, aqua blues, grey/blue, teal, grey, grey/green, olive green, blush pink, mustard, rust, peach, apricot, purple and magenta. You will find more earthy tones mixed in with ochres and chocolate browns to give balance to the vibrant tones.
This artwork is and original painted using acrylic on canvas, gloss varnished. It has been stretched on a professionally made stretcher bar and is ready to hang. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. This artwork has been professionally framed in a L shape float frame made of raw oak.
Approx. 103 x 103 x 5 cm – Dimensions include frame. Size of actual artwork 100 x 100 x 4 cm.
